Paolozzi Prize for Art Competition
Anne van Dijke was awarded the Highly Commended prize in the Talent and Creativity category of the first Paolozzi Prize for Art Competition for her excellent cardboard packaging design produced for her Int2 Design Unit in Mr Bryant's class.
Anne, S4, was competing against twelve other schools in this category mostly represented by S6 students with large portraits or figure paintings. Hers was one of only two pieces of design work in the entire competition so we were thrilled with the award.
The ceremony was held in the National Gallery on Tuesday evening and amongst the judges were Paolozzi's sister and Richard De Marco.
Orchard Planting
Pupils, staff, parents and our many and varied community partners all combined to plant a 33 tree orchard on Friday 8th March. We look forward to many more engaging outdoor learning experiences that will follow from this project.

Thank you to the many parents who attended this event. There were excellent questions posed and constructive conversation around these questions. Another event very well supported by Liberton Parents!
Scottish School Athletics Championships
Liberton's Morro Bajo won two gold medals at the Scottish Schools Athletics Championships in February 2013. The first in the 60m sprint in an incredible 7.1 seconds and the other in the 200m. Well done Morro!
